General Commands

This page lists the main SkinEngine commands.

Main aliases are /skinengine and /se

You can optionally add more root aliases through settings.command-aliases. Those extra aliases only become available after a full server restart, not after a plugin reload.

For permission nodes, see Permissions.

Command list

/se

Permission: skinengine.use

Opens the main SkinEngine GUI for players.

/se reload

Permission: skinengine.command.reload

Reloads configs, translations, packs, images, decorative items, and runtime plugin state.

If you changed pack assets, follow it with /se zip.

/se zip

Permission: skinengine.command.zip

(Re)builds the generated resource pack.

After the build, SkinEngine can:

  • send the pack to online players if configured
  • self-host it
  • merge/export it to configured external paths

/se export <file>

Permission: skinengine.command.export

Exports the active storage state to:

/plugins/SkinEngine/storage/exports/<file>.json

[!WARNING] This requires an idle server with no online players.

/se import <file> [confirm]

Permission: skinengine.command.import

Imports a storage snapshot from:

/plugins/SkinEngine/storage/exports/<file>.json

Behavior:

  • Preview on the first run
  • Requires confirm before the real import

[!WARNING] This requires an idle server with no online players.

/se language <name>

Permission: skinengine.command.language

Lets a player switch their own active SkinEngine language if language switching is enabled.

/se license [check]

Permission: skinengine.command.license

Without extra arguments, this shows the current license state.

[!WARNING] /se license check triggers a manual refresh check. Don't spam this command as you may get rate limited by our service - this will cause the plugin to lock itself and you won't be able to use it for some time!

/se nbt

Permission: skinengine.command.nbt

Prints the saved data of the item in the player's main hand. Use it to find a specific value for settings.prevent-skins.blocked-nbt.

/se pack send <player|all>

Permission: skinengine.command.pack

Sends the current resource pack using the normal non-forced delivery mode.

  • Only the players that don't have the active pack will get it.

[!INFO] This only works if resource-pack hosting is active.

/se pack force <player|all>

Permission: skinengine.command.pack

Sends the current resource pack using forced resend mode.

  • All your players will get the pack regardless if they already have it or not.

[!INFO] This only works if resource-pack hosting is active.
