Default behavior
Unless you manually change permissions, the default values are:
skinengine.usedefaults totrue(everyone can use/se)skinengine.admindefaults toop(only OP players can run admin commands)skinengine.command.*nodes default tofalse, unless you change themskinengine.bypass.custom-mergedefaults tofalse- The custom merge bypass is not included in
skinengine.admin; grant it explicitly only where you need it skinengine.useincludesskinengine.command.language, unless you change itskinengine.adminincludes all admin command nodes listed above
Custom item merge bypass
The skinengine.bypass.custom-merge permission lets a player use an anvil, grindstone, or vanilla repair recipe with two custom-looking items while settings.prevent-custom-item-merging is enabled.
This permission only removes SkinEngine's safety block. It does not merge both custom looks or choose which one should remain—the normal Minecraft result, or another plugin handling that result, stays in control.
Skin permissions
All SkinEngine skins on your server follow the same permission format:
skinengine.skins.<pack_id>.<skin_id>
Example - Unlocks the frostblade skin from your frostfall pack:
skinengine.skins.frostfall.frostblade
How to unlock ALL skins on your server to someone?
